Youth Group Activities
Day Two:   Our plans changed because of the weather that was forcasted.   We ended up attending church with thousands of other people of all races and backgrounds.   We learned how a very small thing (such as a mustard seed) can actually be a big thing.  We learned that not only the good small things make a BIG difference, but also the bad small things can make a BIG difference in our testimony to others.

Our trip then took us to the WTC.  I can not put to words the things we saw and the things we watched and the things we heard while there.   That place is just a place that you will have to go to get any idea of what it must have been like back on 9/11.  Then we rested and got dressed up all nice and went to watch Mama Mia.   What a terrific presentation from that group.   Very well done!!   Then we all enjoyed smores at a restaurant around the corner from the motel.

Here are some pictures of the group at the different places.

This is the youths first attempt at the NYC subway system.   We did not lose anyone and they all made it where we were going safe and sound.  Now mind you.... Some of us ended up going to the Bronyx to check it out because we got on the wrong train and went the wrong way.   But we made it safe and sound as well.

This is a piece of art at the site of the new construction for the new World Trade Center.

This is a picture of the group just outside the memorial museum.

This is the group outside the theater where we saw Mama Mia.  What a great play!!

Well check back tomorrow for more updates and pictures.   Thanks again for all the support of the Youth and Yound Adults.

Today is day one.   We started our day at 5:15 at FBC and took the vans and one car to Arlington to meet up with the Vamoose bus who would be driving us to NYC.   Our driver took us on a little over 3.5 hour drive straight to NYC.   Between all the bumps and bouncing, we all made it alive and well.

We stopped in Bryant Park along the way to the motel and did our first Bible study.   We sang a little bit and just enough to attract the attention of one man that just loved our singing and wanted us to sing more and louder.   We stopped by and put our luggage in our room and went to lunch.   Then we did a little touring and stopped by Time Square and took some great pictures.   We also went on a tour of the NBC Studio.    Wait till you see the pictures of Josh and K and their new carreers as news anchor and weather woman!!!     We also had dinner at Ellen's Stardust.   This was a quaint little restaurant where the wait staff would sing while serving you.   They were all aspiring braodway singers and were great singers.   Some sang to the group and we had a bunch of fun with them.

We are on the Vamoose bus rolling down the road.   No one is asleep yet.   Not for long though!!

We made it to NYC in record time.   Safe and sound and ready to go!!

All standing in Time Square.   This is just a couple of shots of the group.

This is one of our waitors that served us at Ellen's Stardust.   His "name" was Stringbean.   He actually came up and sang to a 10 year girls sitting near us and then sang a song with the youth at one of our tables.   The youth actually loved it and the singers all commented on how great they all were.

Keep us in your prayers as we determine what the game plan is for Sunday.   Thanks for all the continued prayers and support.
